BAD SIGNS
BAD SIGNS is an action-packed comedy about the world of small-town sign spinners, small-town dreams, and costumed courage in the face of preposterous odds. A crew making a documentary about street sign spinning gets more than they bargained for when they follow Joe Senske, a young man who has led a textbook life for success, but the best he could find after college graduation was a job as an unenthusiastic sign waver in front of Big Mike’s Used Car Lot. He's made the best of these seemingly disappointing circumstances by befriending the motley crew of fellow street sign holders who serve the downtown businesses: Blind Dave, who despite his handicap has a knack for direction. Pug, a gruff and kind hearted ex drug addict who's loyalty is unquestionable. And his high school crush, Molly - the daughter of his new employer.
His new routine is upset, though, when a new company of ruthless costumed sign holders moves into town. What starts out as eager competition quickly escalates into a turf war for coveted corners and the business of the colorful local shops. Amidst the absurdity, Joe and his friends find themselves fighting the ruthless tactics of sign spinners and mascots led by the power hungry Jeffrey, who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty to gain a monopoly on the town's street sign waving market. Our heroes use every resource they have, and in a surprise and highly original twist, get some unexpected help from the documentary crew. Together, they don the costumes of their foes, making a hilariously inept attempt to infiltrate Jeffrey’s warehouse and unearth the corruption that threatens their lives and livelihoods. Their bold, raucously risky final gambit will leave audiences cheering.
